The Embassy and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Nairobi Research Station are organising an international symposium at the Embassy of Japan in Kenya on August 17th and 18th 2023, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Kenya. The symposium will focus on the history of African studies and research collaborations between Japanese and Kenyan researchers. It aims to bring together scholars from both countries to discuss their longstanding research experiences, connections, and advancements in Africa-Japan research collaboration. The event will also include final discussions and insights regarding future academic development between the two nations.
