NACOSTI SHINES AT THE MOMBASA ASK SHOW

The 2025 ASK Mombasa International Show started with outstanding energy and ambition with the theme “Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth,” at the Mkomani Showground Mombasa County from 1st – 7th September 2025. The occasion brought together policy makers, innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses, students, and educators for opportunities and networking in food, agritech, health, logistics, and trade, among others.

Central to the displays was research, science, technology, and innovation that is key to sustainable development, innovation, and Kenya’s global competitiveness. The range of applications showcased included healthcare and pharmaceuticals, smart agriculture, logistics and transportation, and regulation with cutting-edge tools and knowledge.

The National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) delivered a master class during the fair, building on similar performances in previous editions.

The Commission emerged victorious in this year’s edition in various categories for its fidelity and commitment to offering efficient, timely, and responsive services to safeguard Kenya’s research, science, technology, and innovation sector. NACOSTI emerged top in The Best Display and Services in the Health Sector and Pharmaceuticals Stand; second in The Best Non-Agricultural Based Statutory Board stand; and third in The Best Innovation and Invention and Best Non-Educational institution in Research and Development stands.

The awards celebrate NACOSTI’s efforts to promote innovation in research, education, and health, reflecting its commitment to advancing science, technology, and innovation in Kenya through its promotion, regulation, coordination, and advisory services.

In a show of commitment to collaboration and building on our synergies for a robust science, technology, and innovation sector, the Commission delivered success in partnership with our key partners, namely the National Research Fund (NRF) and the Kenya National Innovation Agency (KENIA). Others include the Swahili Pot Hub through its innovators and Egerton University.
