About the Training
The National Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI) is pleased to invite eligible participants to the STI Capacity Strengthening Training on Research Integrity and Ethics. This five-day residential training aims to build the capacity of researchers, institutions, and STI stakeholders in upholding the highest standards of research integrity, ethics, and security.
Learning Objectives
- Internalize Research Ethics, Research Security and Research Integrity Principles
- Develop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Scientific and Research Ethics Committees
- Apply national and international Research Ethics, Research Security and Research Integrity guidelines and frameworks
- Conduct scientific and ethics review of research proposals, and subsequent monitoring and evaluation of approved research studies

Cost & Payment Details
The cost of this five-day training is subsidized at KES 65,000 per person, inclusive of VAT. Participants will cater for their own transportation and accommodation expenses.
